A Workshop on Thesis Writing at Dept of Education

TU-PNC, 4 April 2017 – The Dept of Education organized a program entitled “Workshop on Revisiting Students’ Thesis: Synthesis of Experiences” recently under the chairmanship of HoD Khim Raj Subedi.

The workshop was facilitated by Prof. Dr. Tirtha Raj Parajuli of Tribhuvan University. The faculty members of the department enjoyed the presentation from him and took part in the intensive discussion on pros and cons of thesis writing.

Speaking at the program, Prof. Dr. Parajuli said, “The thesis writing is intended to give the students an experience in independent work to demonstrate advanced knowledge in a field of study.” He also elaborated on the main purpose of thesis writing, saying that it provides an opportunity to bring together their education and experience into a realistic problem solving effort.

According to HOD Subedi, the workshop was a one day program and was conducted for its faculty members. He said, “It was an ample platform to revise, reflect, and share their own perspectives for reframing thesis writing procedures.” “All faculty members engaged in meaningful and productive discussion with the guidance of Professor Parajuli’” he further explained.
