Workshop on Presentation Skills Organized at the Dept of Education

TU-PNC, 18 Nov. 2016 – The Dept of Education under the Faculty of Education, Prithvi Narayan Campus organized the “Workshop on Presentation Skills” on 20 Oct. 2016, which was attended by Master’s Evening Programme  Coordinator Cholakanta Ojha. 

The workshop was chaired by the Dept Head Khim Raj Subedi and facilitated by Mr. Sunil Pandey, the CEO at XL Soft Tech, New Road, Pokhara.

While presenting himself about the workshop, Mr. Pandey said, “Communication is one of the most highly valued skills the present day university teachers look for. Presenting materials to students through the help of PowerPoint is a key skill that all faculty members need if they want to make their classes effective.” “And to use these skills in teaching, the faculty should be familiar with the technology and needs more practice,” he said.  

Speaking at the program, Coordinator Ojha said that the workshop like this would be useful to the faculty members of the department. “These skills are essential to creating an effective classroom environment,” he added.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Dept Head Subedi said that the faculty development is one of the major aims of the department and the use of ICT is an important aspect of that development. He further said, “The Dept of Education will continue its activities for the faculty development program in the days to come.”

The workshop was participated by the faculty of the Dept of Education and hosted by Ram Prasad Subedi, a faculty at the Dept. The welcome and highlight speech was delivered by another faculty Dhruba Raj Khanal.
