Research Committee Allocates Student Support Grants

TU-PNC, 20 April 2018 – The Research Committee of Prithvi Narayan Campus has awarded the student support grants to the students who have applied for the grants 2018. This year 16 students of Bachelor and Master level have received such support grants.

With reference to the call for applications for “Thesis/Project Report Support Grants – 2018” published on 21 March 2018, the meeting of the research committee held on 20 April 2018 has, as per the recommendations made by the student support grants selection committee, endorsed 16 students for such awards to start their thesis/project report writing on the topics as mentioned in their applications.

The student support grants received for this year in the thesis writing category are as follows: Subash Poudel of MBS, Dhan Kumari Gharti Magar of MA English, Mejume Gurung of BALLB, Ajit Keshari of BALLB, Pradeep Adhikari of BALLB, Binu Rana of MBS, Sabin Kumar Thing Tamang of BALLB, Tirtha Kumari Thapa of MA Anthropology, and Srijana Baral of MA Anthropology.

The student support grants received for this year in the project report writing category are as follows: Bhawana Baral (Anuradha KC, Asmita Karki, Niru Thapa, and Deepa Ranabhat as group researchers), Menuka Rana (Nishan Tilija Pun, Krishna B.K., Ram Chandra Adhikari, and Akash Budha Magar as group researchers), Anish Bugai (Sangita Paudel, Anup Adhikari, Ashmita Jamarkattel and Basanta Sapkota as group researchers), Sushma Baral, Barsha Parajuli, Chin Maya Pun and Anita Acharya. The grantees in the project writing category are from the B.Sc. program.

The research committee invites applications from eligible Bachelor and Master’s students who have opted for thesis writing or project work for “Thesis/Project Report Support Grants” each year. A total of 20 such grants are made available: 2 for Bachelor’s students and 2 for Master’s students from each Faculty/Institute.
