ICT Centre Set Up at the Faculty of Education, TU-PNC

TU-PNC, 7 September 2016 - One more ICT Centre has recently been added to the list of facilities provided for the use of students. The newly set up centre will be used by the faculty and students of the Faculty of Education, Prithvi Narayan Campus, it is learnt. According to the Assistant Campus Chief Prof. Deepak Chandra Wagle, the centre has been funded by the Faculty of Education, Tribhuvan University, Kirtipur and the amount provided by the Faculty is 6,19,000 rupees.

“The ICT Centre at the Faculty of Education, PN Campus was set up to impart the knowledge on computing and information technology for undergraduate and graduate students of Education. The centre will meet the challenges in rapidly growing computer based communication system of the 21st century,” Prof. Wagle said.

Prof. Wagle further said that th centre will facilitate students to acquire computer literacy and strengthen their area of study for better career opportunities through the use of technology.

The ICT Centre at the Faculty of Education in Prithvi Narayan Campus will be used by the students of Master’s and Bachelor’s who are studying at the Faculty of Education.

The campus has already set up 3 ICT centres in different locations: in the library, in the BBA block and in Research Cell. These centres including this new one will have more than 150 computers in use for students as well as the faculty of the campus.
