TU-PNC, 31 July 2016 The English Language Fellow Alex Lawry returns home after completing his volunteering service at the Department of English Education under the Faculty of Education.
Volunteer Lawry took classes for B.Ed. and M.Ed. students for a year under the Regional English Language Office (RELO) program through the American Embassy in Kathmandu. His placement at the department was arranged by NELTA Pokhara Chapter.
It was a unique experience living and working in a peaceful and beautiful place like Pokhara, Lawry said. According to him, he tried to apply collaboration teaching method in his classrooms.
His service at the department remained fruitful for the faculty and students, interacting with a native speaker of English, Associate Professor Navaraj Neupane said.
